The society unites the descendants of the participants of the national liberation movement for the independence of Korea in the 1st half of the twentieth century.
The main goals are to restore the history of the struggle for Korean independence, search for descendants, collect materials about the participants of the movement and apply for awards.
The society holds traditional events, publishes books and distributes calendars with portraits of Korean heroes. In 2005, the organization held a campaign for a monthly subscription to the newspaper "Kore Ilbo" for 3,000 Almaty Korean families. The Society was registered in 1998 and has more than 350 members from all regions of Kazakhstan.

AKNC is open for new members. Any person who recognizes the Charter and is able to contribute to the implementation of the goals and objectives of the national center can become a member.
