In 1992, an Association was established in Kazakhstan to unite Sakhalin Koreans, which in 2000 was renamed the Society of Sakhalin Koreans "Hyanuhe". The main goal of the society is to unite Koreans living in Kazakhstan.
Members of the society actively participate in events organized by the ACC and ACC. Hyanuhe also participates in international meetings with representatives of the Red Cross to unite the disparate families of Sakhalin and South Korea.
Every year, the society organizes the celebration of the Lunar New Year, Chusok, nature trips and visits to Korea through the Red Cross Society of the Republic of Korea. "Hyanuhe" maintains contact with Associations of Koreans of Sakhalin, Moscow, Rostov, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.
AKNC is open for new members. Any person who recognizes the Charter and is able to contribute to the implementation of the goals and objectives of the national center can become a member.
